The feeding program takes place every week on the west side of the Parisian area in France called “Mantes la Jolie.” It is known as one of the poorest cities around Paris in particular the neighborhood of “Le Val-Fourré” which was built in the 1960s by the European community to welcome more than 25 000 immigrants. “Le Val-Fourré” became a ghetto and in the 1980’s a group of Christians were inspired to start a feeding program that would reach out to provide for the poor. They named it “Nouvel Espoir” (New Hope). Currently Nouvel Espoir meets on Thursday’s and distributes groceries sufficient for 1 week and 3 meals a day. They are feeding 400 people, including 200 children.
We have a team that go on the streets of Paris to help the homeless. Some of them have kids and even babies with them, but they hide and they live in shanty houses around Paris. Our team goes to find them and feed them. But this is a new project. We are launching a new program to give milk for the new born with your support. God is great! He is providing for everything! Jehovah Jireah! Blessings to you!
- Pastor Christian Robichaud of Nouvel Espoir, Paris France
ChildCry is providing funding that aids in feeding these children 7 times a week.
